Primary Sentence 

Following a successful sorority fundraising effort, the Alpha Upsilon alumnae and undergraduate leadership has developed a solid plan to address the long-term viability of the Alpha Chi Omega experience on the University of Alabama campus.

Updates and maintenance to the chapter house are necessary, and the sorority will work with Ward Scott Architecture and the Alpha Upsilon House Corporation to achieve their goals.

  • 4,000-square-foot dining room, seating for 300 with large presentation screens

  • 2,200-square-foot living space with two-sided fireplace and option to partition

spaces for different activities

  • 1,500-square-foot veranda outside dining room with outdoor fireplace

  • 2,800-square-foot walled courtyard with stair access to rooftop terrace

  • Executive conference room with presentation display

  • Private guest suite with full bath

  • Mailroom with cubbies for entire membership, with storage for deliveries

  • House director suite

  • 75 beds primarily in fully furnished two-person rooms

  • 18 toilets and 18 showers

  • 2 laundry rooms with folding tables, ironing boards, etc.

  • 2 balconies facing the stadium

  • 3,400-square-foot second floor rooftop terrace

  • Large study den
