While the Peninsular Chapter of the University of Michigan’s Alpha Delta Phi fraternity aspires to attract quality young men, it loses potential members to other fraternities with better housing. To compete with the amenities offered in newly renovated, on-campus residence halls and off-campus apartments, the chapter must conduct a fraternity capital campaign to raise funds for renovation. These modifications to the facility will have a significant impact on recruitment efforts.

  • Install fire suppression system and fire-rated doors

  • Replace HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

  • Add new energy efficient lighting and enhanced insulation

  • Update social areas and study spaces

  • Provide accommodation for 31 active members, including single and double-occupancy rooms, and ADA-compliant accessible rooms

  • Make safety and design improvements to the bar and chapter room

  • Develop a new exercise space that doubles as a social area

  • Install a new laundry room and secure storage areas.
