Built in 1941 and renovated in 1958, the chapter house for Delta Delta Delta at the University of Kentucky is rapidly becoming an antiquated facility for the modern collegiate women. Their operating systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security, are geriatric and do not operate as well as needed. Because of a successful alumni capital fundraising campaign, the following improvements were completed:

Highlights:

  • Address water heater and plumbing issues

  • Update security system for house entry and monitoring

  • Dining/chapter room expansion to comfortably seat 275+ members for chapter meetings and meals

  • Redesigned living room to provide more study space and efficiently utilize the square footage

  • Special attention will be paid to the addition to ensure the historic nature of the home is kept

  • Updates to the first floor bedroom and bathroom to become ADA compliant

  • Upgrade all bathrooms (new showers, sinks, etc.)

  • Add 10 beds above the dining room addition

  • Increase live-in capacity from 40 to 50 women
