Built in 1947 with an addition in 1969, the house has been part of Kappa Alpha Theta’s legacy for more than 60 years on the Florida State campus. The Beta Nu Chapter House on West Park Avenue serves as the residence for 56 women and as an on-campus haven for 113 additional members each day. Like any home, our chapter house must keep up with the daily demands of its resident. Our sorority fundraising initiative:

  • Reinforced damaged foundation, repaired roof, and updated façade

  • Brought house up to code: fire doors, fire exits, proper hallway lighting, etc.

  • Installed an elevator to be ADA compliant

  • Replaced HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems

  • Repaired and renovated damaged recreation room

  • Installed security system to further protect our members

  • Remodeled and refurbished all bathrooms

  • Installed new windows for efficiency and cost savings

  • Updated décor and furnishings throughout

  • Replaced and redesigned landscaping on facility grounds
