Now is the time for Alpha Beta to build the new Phi Mu home at the University of Arkansas. The Alpha Beta House Corporation and Phi Mu Fraternity have developed a solid plan to address the long-term viability of the Phi Mu experience at the University of Arkansas. Phi Mu Fraternity has retained CORE Architects of Rogers, Arkansas, and Michael J. Imber Architects of San Antonio, Texas, to fulfill the needs of Alpha Beta. The style and layout of the new home will place an emphasis on enhancing the strong sisterhood their collegians share, attracting the best and brightest new members, serving as a destination for alumnae, providing an environment that benefits members’ academic pursuits and strengthening ties to the University and the greater Northwest Arkansas community.

Because of a successful capital fundraising campaign, the new chapter house will have the following amenities:

  • Premier location on Maple Street.

  • The new house will be home to 89 collegians.

  • The new dining room will provide seating for all of members.

  • The new chapter room will allow for all members to comfortably meet.

  • The recruitment atmosphere will be spacious enough to accommodate guests.

  • The outdoor living space will provide an inviting area for collegians and alumnae to gather.

  • Ample study and meeting space will encourage academic pursuits.

  • Laundry facilities and study space will be provided on each residential floor.
