A fire caused extensive damage to Sigma Nu’s Delta Iota chapter house at Washington State University. To serve the immediate needs of the undergraduate chapter, the facility underwent a major renovation following a fraternity fundraising effort to meet health and fire codes, but also to ensure the best of educational opportunities would be available for future generations.

  • Renovated fire-damaged “new” addition on the west end of the House

  • Restored the exterior of the “new” addition to maintain the colonial architectural character and integrity of the original facility

  • Renovated existing study rooms into well-lit, quiet space designated exclusively for individual study

  • Installed state-of-the-art computer technology in the two basement study areas to connect all undergraduates to the University ethernet system and the Internet

  • Enhanced the entire house interior with new carpeting, paint, furniture, and lighting
