The chapter house at 228 Gray Avenue has been a second home for many young men of Sigma Phi Epsilon at Iowa State University. It has also served as a living and learning center for its members. However, in order for Iowa Beta to maintain its record of accomplishment, they must overcome a number of challenges with the Chapter House. As a result of a capital fundraising campaign, the following improvements are planned:

Upgrade fire/safety features, add fire suppression and fire alarm systems

Upgrade plumbing and electrical systems

Expand house by 4,050 square feet with two east side additions

Expand housemother suite

Renovate existing 11,250 square feet

Create rear entry and outdoor patio area

Add signage and pave parking lot and sidewalks
