Texas Tech University’s Gamma Rho Chapter of Alpha Chi Omega sorority is growing. Their engagement with alumnae leadership has resulted in the creation of a plan to address the long-term viability of the Alpha Chi experience at Texas Tech. A new chapter lodge is necessary to meet the needs of today’s students and remain competitive on campus. Project highlights and plans are designed to enhance educational, personal, and professional experiences offered by membership in Alpha Chi Omega.

  • Demolition of current lodge and complete rebuild at 7 Greek Circle

  • Formal and informal living areas

  • More individual and group study space on both floors

  • Larger chapter room that can accommodate entire membership

  • Larger kitchen that will accommodate the entire chapter

  • Grand entry with double staircases

  • Founders Room dedicated to the heritage of Gamma Rho

  • Work room for large-scale creative projects

  • East side entry for chapter members with mailboxes, information boards, etc.

  • Modern office space for executive and recruitment committees

  • Enhanced technology wiring throughout the lodge  

  • Additional storage for archival, recruitment, and ritual materials

  • ADA-compliant accessibility, including an elevator
