The Gamma Theta alumni and undergraduate leadership developed a solid plan to address the long-term viability of the Alpha Tau Omega experience on the University of Nebraska campus. The fraternity embarked on a capital campaign to raise funds for the renovation. Project highlights include:

Updated fire sprinkler and alarm systems

Improved HVAC system for efficiency

Improved parking lot, property lighting, and landscaping

Provision for ample study space, including areas for individual and group study, as well as wireless Internet access throughout the facility

Construction of a new kitchen and serving station

Increased occupancy from 69 to 78 beds

Expanded housemother’s apartment and the addition of a women’s restroom

A new outdoor patio for alumni gatherings and Cornhusker football weekends

Converted kitchen area into lounge/entertainment area

Furnished rooms with new beds, desks, chairs and wardrobe furnishings
