In 2001, Oklahoma Kappa commenced the Lifetime of Brotherhood campaign designed to address the housing issues for Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s at the University of Oklahoma and the problems that the undergraduate brothers faced with a 40 year-old facility. Upon the conclusion of the campaign, more than $1.5 million was pledged through a capital fundraising campaign and the HVAC system was upgraded, the common areas and bathrooms were renovated, the exterior of the house received a face-lift, and a state-of-the-art fire monitoring system was installed.

Highlights:

  • Enhanced landscaping and irrigation system

  • Expanded concrete terraces on east and west sides

  • Replaced wood soffits, fascia, columns, and screen

  • Resurfaced parking lots on the south and west sides

  • Replaced aging roof

  • Renovated existing heating, air, and ventilation (HVAC) system

  • Modernized existing plumbing

  • Upgraded electrical system to allow for computer wiring and increased safety
