Pi Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon along with Pennsylvania State University’s Greek system has an ambitious vision and focus on becoming the nation’s premier Greek community. The proposed fraternity fundraising effort and renovation can be reduced to one simple goal—bring the Chapter House into the 21st century. The aim is a flexible, high-quality, and durable fraternity house that will provide a safe living and learning environment and withstand heavy use well into the future.

  • Create four to five different room type scenarios providing a range of offerings to appeal to various student needs and desires while continuing to offer semi-private rooms as well as potentially a small dorm room option

  • Upgrade kitchen area to include breakfast & weekend meals while providing an internet café

  • Install new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, & fire safety systems throughout the house and provide more ventilation as well as natural lighting to reduce strain of electrical systems

  • Complete restoration of flooring, trim, hardware and fixtures to first floor and basement levels

  • Create an alumni terrace to be used for recruitment events, homecoming work yard, and general entertaining of alumni and guests

  • Update living spaces on second, third and fourth floors and add ADA-accessible two bed apartment on first floor
